My Design Approach.
Good design really speaks for itself, I don't have a wordy design philosophy, however I am sympathetic to my surroundings and take great care in establishing what is right for your garden and how it relates to the people that live there and the architecture and vernacular that surrounds me.I appreciate what is beautiful and use appropriate plants, ones that thrive in the northern hemisphere and feel connected.
I have a strong design which is held as such through the winter and is softened with layers of interest from January through to December.
I celebrate the seasons, especially the rhythm and demands on nature. I like to create gardens which will last the test of time, not whimsical or fashion led.
Gardens that look beautiful in many years to come and function and mature with grace.
I love the birds, the bees, as well as the worms and the beetles. I also like engaging with people.
Planting more than I remove, I aim to create gardens which everyone can enjoy.
